Day 1 : Arrival in Fez

8 Days Desert Tour Fes to Marrakech, pick up at the airport of Fez Sais at the time estimated by our guide and transfer to the Riad, well located and is located in the medina, which is the historic part of Fez, accommodation in riad / hotel.

Day 2 : Guided tour of Fez

After a delicious breakfast at the Riad, we start our guided tour of the new part of the city, where we approach the royal palace, the Jewish quarter (Mellah), then we will go to a viewpoint where we can see the view point where we can see the whole medina from the south tower and the many mosques.

Day 3 : Fez – Ifrane – Bousque of cedars – Middle Atlas – Merzouga ( night in haimas )

We leave Fez behind and head for Merzouga, crossing the Middle Atlas and its cedar forests. This mountain range extends 350 kilometers from the southwest to the northwest of Morocco.
On the way we will pass through villages such as Ifrane, known as the “Moroccan Switzerland” for the architecture of its houses and for being one of the most exclusive ski destinations in the country, and Azrou, one of the most famous Berber towns in Morocco.

We will cross the Ziz Valley and the Ziz Gorges and pass through villages like Midelt or Erfoud.
From Erfoud we will take a desert road to Merzouga, to the incredible and immense dunes of Erg Chebbi, an indescribable scenery. Leave our luggage at the hotel and we will start our journey with the camels towards the heart of the desert, to the immense dunes.

Stop in the middle of the road to enjoy the impressive sunset on the great dune. We will spend the night in the “jaimas” camp where have dinner and enjoy a drum show that will immerse us in the Berber culture of the area, a unique experience under the impressive blanket of stars.

Day 4 : Merzouga – Dakar track – Ouzina – Ramlia – Tafraout

We will have to get up early to contemplate the impressive sunrise of the desert. An unforgettable sunrise that will fill you with indescribable sensations. After a shower and a delicious breakfast in the tents, we will return by camel to the hotel and continue our journey to Tafraout where we will have a 130km stage through the old “Paris-Dakar Rally“.

Desert landscapes, huge sand dunes, dry lakes and endless plains. Discover nomadic villages lost in the desert that will kindly invite us to have tea with them and you can learn about their way of life.

Our journey through the Moroccan desert will take us to the borders with Algeria. Lunch in a shelter near the village and then visit the oasis of Ramlia to discover an ancient irrigation system (the irrigation ditches) (Possibility to have a picnic). In the afternoon we continue our route on the track of the “Paris Dakar” to the village of Tafraout. Accommodation and dinner in a Riad / Kasbah.

Day 5 : Tafraout – alnif – Dades Gorges – Dades Valley

After a shower and a delicious breakfast at the hotel.
We will leave for the famous Todra Gorges (favorite place for climbers and trekking lovers) and through the Dades Valley we will make the route of the thousand Kasbahs going to the High Atlas where you can observe the change of life of the Berbers of the mountains and those of the desert. You will discover the caves where the nomads of the Atlas live.

Tinghir is one of the highlights of the southern plateau that divides the High Atlas from the Jebel Saghro, where there is a crystal clear river that emerges from the deep ocher and pink rocks.

Incredible landscapes and worthy of photographs to fill your memory album in Morocco. We will have lunch in a typical restaurant of the area, where you will be able to taste Moroccan food, if that is your choice. In the afternoon/evening, we will arrive in the Dades Valley where we will have dinner and spend the night in a hotel/Riad.

Day 6 : Dades Valley – Valley of Roses – Ouarzazate – AIt ben Haddou – Marrakech

After a rich breakfast we will continue to the Valley of Roses (with its heady scents is formed by acres of roses whose aroma is appreciated throughout the month of May. Here you can immerse yourself in a dazzling and enchanting landscape.

The cultivation of roses, the distillation of essences and the production of perfumes are the most important industries of this place) and the palm grove of Skora enjoying a contrast of mountains and villages with adobe kasbahs, we will stop for lunch in a typical restaurant in the area. We will continue in the direction of Ouarzazate.

It is known as “The Hollywood of Africa” its architectural wonders have been the setting for many famous films of the last 50 years, in the city there are several film studios including one of the largest in the world, the Atlas Studios where movies like “The Jewel of the Nile” “Asterix and Cleopatra” or “The Ten Commandments” were filmed.

On the way to Marrakech we will pass by the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, one of the most beautiful and fascinating places in Morocco, is a fortified city where movies like “Gladiator” or “Kingdom of Heaven” were filmed, and was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Once in Marrakech we will transfer you to the Hotel/ Riad, accommodation.

Day 7 : Guided tour of Marrakech

After a delicious breakfast, our guided tour of the Medina of Marrakech begins in the Jamaa el Fna Square at 9 am, the nerve center of the city and the most animated point, both day and night.

During the tour of the historical center we will visit the main attractions of the Medina, including the Jamaa el Fna Square, the Saadi Tombs, the Bahia Palace, the Koutoubia Mosque and the Souks, a labyrinth of smells, colors and flavors.The tour ends around 2:30 PM at the Jamaa el Fna Square. The guide will be happy to give you all the advice you need to enjoy the rest of your stay.

Day 8 : Marrakech – Airport

Transfer to Marrakech airport (according to the flight schedule) and end of our 8 Days Desert Tour Fes to Marrakech through the desert of Merzouga.
