Best 6 Days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga

Day 1: Marrakech – Tizi -N-Tichka – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

Best 6 Days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga. We begin the journey from Marrakech to the Dades Gorges by picking you up at your hotel, riad, or bus stop. Travel to the ancient Berber town of Telouet after crossing the Tizi-n-Tichka pass in the Atlas highlands, which offers stunning views of the highlands.

From there, proceed to the world heritage site of Ait Benhaddou, a fortified settlement (Ksour). After lunch in Ait Benhaddou or Ouarzazate, we go to the Dades Valley and spend the night in a hotel there.

 Day 2: Dades Gorge – Tenghir – Todra Gorge – Tinjdad – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga

Following breakfast, we go from Dades to the Todra Gorge, Tenghir, and the Merzouga Sahara Desert, passing through Berber communities en route. We go to Merzouga, spending one night in a hotel or riad close to the dunes, after passing via Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud, where we begin to sense the beginning of the Sahara oasis at Tafilalet.

Day 3: 4×4 Erg Chebbi Desert Tour – Merzouga – Camel Riding – Desert Night

Following breakfast, we will visit a few of the smaller settlements (Hassi Labied, Merdani, Khamlia, M’fis) that are close to the Erg Chebbi dunes. We could come across locals displaying their desert foxes while traveling to Kamlia. Khamlia, sometimes referred to as “the black village,” is home to many desert animals and reptiles.

The settlement’s residents were former Sudanese slaves. A greeting will be extended along with tea (Berber whiskey) and spiritual Gnawa music.

Following Khamlia, we pause to take in the expansive view of the golden dunes close to the Algerian border. Before moving on, we may have a picnic lunch beneath a tree and meet a nomadic family who tend to their herds of goats and camels while living in Berber tents.

The family will be shown to you, and as you sip your tea, you may discover more about their way of life… Next, we head back to Merzouga.

We relax for a bit, leave the luggage at the hotel, pack only what we need in a small suitcase, and ride camels to the Erg Chebbi dunes for forty to one hour and thirty minutes.

After arriving at the campground, we may go to the top of the dune and utilize the SAND SURF to witness the sunset. We will sleep in nomadic tents with drum sounds deep within the Sahara. This is an incredible opportunity to get breathtaking photos of the sun rising and setting.

Day 4: Merzouga – Taouz – Ouzina – Ramlia – Meharech

We will wake you up early to see the sunrise. We return on camels to Merzouga. After breakfast and a shower in the hotel we will go to another desert of sand dunes passing through (Taouz, Ouzina, Ramlia) Berber villages to the oasis of the Sahara desert. Overnight in the village of Mharech at the hotel.
