4 Days Desert Tour Tangier To Merzouga
Day 1 – Tangier – Chefchaouen – Fez
We will meet you at the port or airport on the first day of your trip 4 Days Desert Tour Tangier To Merzouga and take you to see the ancient medinas and vibrant cultural scenes of Tangier and Tetouan. Next, we’ll take in the breathtaking views of the Rif Mountains until we arrive at the enchanting blue village of Chefchaouan, one of the most picturesque villages at the foot of the mountains.
The old medina of Chefchaouen features a square surrounded by hipster shops selling arts and crafts, rooftop cafes, and the best restaurants and cafes. Here, we’ll have lunch before moving on to the imperial city of Fez, where we will spend the night in a riad.
Day 2 – Fez – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Gorges – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga
After breakfast, head across the breathtaking Middle Atlas Mountains to the south, where you will find Ifrane and Azrou. We will pause en route to view apes in their native environment in the cedar forests. As you reach the town of Errachidia, you will get views of the Middle Atlas plateau and the terrain shifts to offer clues of the desert.
You will go via the Tizi Ntalghamt pass to Midelt and down the stunning Ziz gorges formed in volcanic rock. We travel to Erfoud, Rissani, and Merzouga via the Ziz Valley after lunch. We will have mint tea, drop our bags off in a safe room, and ride camels to a Berber camp amidst the tallest sand dunes in the world, the Erg Chebbi. North African sand dunes. From the camp, where we will erect Berber tents for our overnight stay in the desert, the camel ride takes around 1.5 hours.
The tents are fully furnished with pillows, blankets, and beds. We’ll get together around the fire after supper to listen to the sounds of traditional Berber drumming beneath the stars.
Day 3 – Merzouga – Erfoud – Errachidia – Midelt
Enjoy a breathtaking sunrise in the Sahara desert early in the morning, then take a camel ride back to the hotel where your 4 x 4 is waiting for you. After breakfast, head for Riassani, stopping at its markets and Kasbah while traveling via Erfoud. Lunch will be served in the Ziz Valley, and the journey to the hotel will continue.
Day 4 – Midelt – Mekenes – Asilah – Tangier
Following breakfast, we set off on our last day’s itinerary, traveling from Midelet to Mikenes. There, we will have the opportunity to see the imperial city of Mekenes, which is renowned for its rich cultural legacy. Following Mekenes, we will pay a visit to the most well-known city, Asilah, before reaching Tangier.
