Desert Tour Agadir to Erg Chabbi Dunes – 6 Days

Day 1: Agadir – Taroudant – Taliouine – Kasbah ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate

Following breakfast Desert Tour Agadir to Erg Chabbi Dunes – 6 Days, we depart from Agadir and travel to Taroudant, one of Morocco’s oldest cities, which is situated in the plain of Souss between the High Atlas and Anti Atlas. From there, we travel to Taliouine, the capital of saffron, which is located at an elevation of 1586 meters.

We take the route to Tazenakht and Ouarzazate, which passes between the strikingly colored mountains of the High Atlas and Anti Atlas. We will eat lunch at a traditional café along the road, where we will stop many times to capture stunning views, and then continue on to the fortified Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou (see its famed Kasbah recognized World Heritage Site by UNESCO).

This breathtaking location has used as the backdrop for several well-known films, including Gladiator, Obelix, Sahara starring Penelope, Cruz, and others. Following a visit to the Kasbah we will go to Ouarzazate (the “city of cinema”) in the afternoon. This city is renowned for its film industry and is regarded as the magnificent entrance to the desert. On the second day of the excursion, we set off for the desert from this point. We spend the night in a hotel and have dinner in Ouarzazate.

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Anti Atlas – Draa Valley – Merzouga

Following breakfast, we will go 1,600 meters above sea level to traverse the Anti Atlas Mountains and arrive at the Draa Valley gate. As we go along a route into the Draa Valley, which is filled with palm trees and stunning landscape, we will pass by various Berber communities and kasbahs. We’ll pass via the villages of N’KOB, TAZARINE, and AlNIF before continuing on to Rissani.

We will travel to the ancient economic center and first imperial city of Morocco, Rissani, which is known for its numerous Ksours, fortified citadels, a sizable souk beneath the red arcades, and its numerous Ksours. We will then ride dromedaries to the Erg Chebbi dunes and ascend to the top dune to witness the sunset.

Continue traveling on dromedaries as we ride across the dunes and arrive at Jaimas’ secret camp in the middle of the desert, where the night sky is filled with stars and the desert is silent. The drum party was a memorable evening.

Day 3: Merzouga – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

We will head to Rissani, where we will stop briefly to visit its traditional Souk, which is thought to be the largest in all of Southern Morocco, before continuing on to the Todra Gorges. You will rise early to witness the stunning sunrise and climb the dunes. After that, you will ride the camels back to the hotel where you will have breakfast. brimming with magnificent scenery and palm plants. We will go to Boumalne Dades Village, where we will spend the night in the center of the Dades Valley, prior to visiting the Tora Gorges. Dinner and spending the night at a riad.

Day 4: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – High Atlas – Marrakech

We will go along the “Thousand Kasbahs” route after breakfast in the Dades Valley, passing via Kallat Mgouna’s breathtaking Valley of the Roses. and reach the Palm Grove of Skoura, home to the most well-known Kasbah Amredyl in the Ouarzazate region. From there, we’ll continue on to Marrakech, passing through the Tizi n’Tichka gate (2,260 meters above sea level), where we’ll pause multiple times for breathtaking photo ops… The journey to Marrakech arrives in the evening and stays overnight in riads in the red city.

Day 5: Marrakech – Essaouira pearl of the atlantic

Following breakfast, we will leave Marrakech and go to the coast, passing through vast Argania trees before arriving at Essaouira, often known as the “Pearl of the Atlantic.” This town, once known as Mogador and formerly an ancient Portuguese citadel, has several charming, historically significant areas hidden beyond its walls.

Essaouira has gained notoriety since 1998 for its World Music Festival Gnaoua, which takes place during the last week of June every year. It attracts artists from throughout the globe. Despite concentrating on Gnaoua music, it contains jazz, reggae, and rock. Orson Welles, an actor and film director, began shooting Othello in the beginning of 1952. Orson Welles Square is now there.

You may spend the day taking in the beach’s ambience and the night in a riad or hotel.

Day 6: Essaouira – Sidi Kaouki – Agadir

Proceed across Morocco’s Atlantic coast after breakfast. Our destination is Agadir. You will come to a stop in a very significant area on the coast called “Sidi Kaouki”; its argan and its untouched dunes make this beach one of the most beautiful in the entire country.
