Morocco Desert Tour from Agadir – 8 days
Day 1: Agadir
You will be met by our driver when you arrive at the Agadir airport Morocco Desert Tour from Agadir – 8 days, and he will transport you to your hotel or riad.
Day 2: Agadir – Ouarzazate
We head out of Agadir in the morning for Sahara Ouarzazate (Gate). We stop in Taroudant’s market square, also referred to as the “little” Marrakech, and the ancient city on our travels.
On we go to Taliouine, a town renowned for its saffron. We pass over the Atlas Mountains, passing through little Berber communities and gorgeous, diverse scenery on our way to Ouarzazate. We stop for a breather in Morocco’s most magnificent Kasbah, Kasbah Aït Ben Haddou, which is recognized as a Unesco World Heritage site. You will spend the night and eat at Ouarzazate’s Riad.
Day 3: Ouarzazate – Todra Gorges – Rissani – Merzouga
Following breakfast, we take the 1000 Kasbah route—which passes through Rose Valley and palm trees—to Dades Gorge. The route passes by the Todra Valley on its way to Merzouga, in the Sahara Desert.
The most picturesque gorge in Morocco, the Todra Gorges, will be the location of our lunch break and stroll. Travel through stunning desert scenery on our way to Merzouga, which is in the Sahara. Drive by the oasis and kasbah of Rissani. We go to Merzouga in the afternoon, where we check into a hotel for the night and have dinner.
Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Erg Chebbi (sand dunes)
You’ll get up early to witness the breathtaking dusk on the sand dunes. After your return, you eat breakfast at the hotel. While you are staying in Rissani, you will go to the Rissani souk. By 16:00, we head back to Merzouga, where you may have a desert camel ride. You will be served a typical Berber tagine for dinner. In a Berber tent beneath a starry sky, you will spend the night.
Day 5: Merzouga – Alnif – N’kob – Zagora
After breakfast, depart from Merzouga Zagora and march via Tazarine, Alnif, picturesque desert vistas, oasis, and little Berber towns. Spend the night at a hotel with a view of the lovely valley.
Day 6: Zagora – Draa valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
Today depart from Zagora and proceed via the Draa Valley in Agdz toward Ouarzazate. We visit the film studio in Ouarzazate. We go across the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260 m) over the High Atlas on our way to Marrakech. We’re going to pause for lunch. You’ll have dinner at a neighborhood eatery in Jemaa-El-Fna and stay the night in a riad.
Day 7: Explore Marrakech
This day is dedicated to your exploration of Marrakech. After breakfast, take a guided tour of the Menara, Bahia Palace, and Koutoubia Mosque with an English-speaking guide. You will tour the vibrant, fragrant, winding lanes of the souk and the center of Marrakech, Jemaa-El-Fna square, in the afternoon. You will have dinner at the Jemaa El Fna plaza and spend the night in a hotel or riad.
Day 8: Marrakech – Agadir
Before your journey back home, we depart Marrakech in the morning and go to Agadir.
