Best 4 Days Desert Tour from Agadir to Merzouga
Day 1: Agadir – Taliouine – Taznakhte – Ait ben Hadou – Ouarzazate
Leaving Agadir at 8:30 a.m., we begin our 4 days 3 nights tour to the desert of Merzouga Erg Chebbi, passing through the city of Taliouine known for its Saffron, then continuing to Taznakhte known for its famous carpets, we continue through the mountains of the Anti-Atlas until we reach the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, famous for its world famous films such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones, the Dinner and an overnight stay in a Riad.
Day 2: Ouarzazate – Sekoura – Valley of Roses and Dadès – Toudra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert
Departure from your hotel in the morning for the route of the Thousand Kasbahs and Desert, we traverse the palm grove of Sekoura to reach the Kasbah Amredyl, then we continue to the Valley of Roses and Dadès, picture stops, continuing to the Todra Gorges, free time to see the canyon. Then we go for Erfoud, traveling via Tinjdad’s palm grove to Touroug, where we will have lunch before departing for Erfoud, Morocco’s marble and fossil manufacturing center. Then we go to Morocco’s tallest dunes, the Merzouga Desert. Rest and prepare to ride a dromedary to the tallest dune to witness the dawn over the dunes, and then continue via dromedary. to the Berber Jiamas camp in the midst of nowhere. Dinner and overnight stay in Jaima Berber with entertainment beneath the Milis Stars.
Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Tazarine – Draa Valley – Agdez
After breakfast, we will depart from the camp by track to visit one of the Nomad families living in tents, and then continue our journey to Agdez via Rissani, the origin of the Alaouite dynasty and Morocco’s first imperial city, and famous for its traditional market, which is held three times a week on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. We continue our journey to Agdez by traveling via the Berber communities of Alnif, Tazarine, and Nkob. We arrive at Morocco’s biggest valley, the Draa, for supper and an overnight stay in a Kasbah in the valley’s center.
Day 4: Agdez – Anti Atlas – Taznakhte – Taliouine – Agadir
After breakfast in the morning, we will visit Kaid Ali’s Kasbah Tamnougalte. There is also the option of taking a one and a half hour walk. We depart from the Draa Valley and return to Agadir via the Anti-Atlas Mountains, passing through Taliouine en route. The four-day journey to the desert comes to an end.
