DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN CASABLANCA

At the estimated time Best 10 Days tour from Casablanca, pick up by our guide at Casablanca airport. Departure to the economic capital of Morocco to visit its famous Hassan II mosque and, if time permits, visit more interesting places such as the Courniche, the Place des Pigeons … etc.. DAY 2: CASABLANCA – RABAT – SOUK LARBAA – OUAZANE – CHEFCHAOUEN

After breakfast, departure to Rabat to visit its main monuments: the Oudaias Alcazaba, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and the Hassan Tower. After that, we will leave for our destination Chefchaouen or Chaouen as many call it, located in the only intercontinental natural park declared a natural reserve of the biosphere.

It is a village perched on the mountain painted in white and blue, populated by wise, friendly and respectful people, offering visitors beautiful urban landscapes, precious samples of local crafts, and a peace and serenity that today is hard to find. Overnight in Riad.

DAY 3: CHEFCHAOUEN – ROMAN RUINS – MEKNES – FEZ

Departure to Fez, bordering the Rif forest. We will arrive at the ruins of the Roman city of Volubilis where you can take a guided tour through them with a local guide if you wish.

We continue to Meknes, a city that reached its heyday thanks to Sultan Mulay Ismail. Visit the palace and the famous Bab Mansour gate, Dar El Maa and the Granary. Then, we will continue towards Fez, the first of the imperial cities that is proud to house one of the oldest universities in the world. Overnight in Riad.

DAY 4: GETTING TO KNOW FEZ

After a rich breakfast at the Riad, we begin our guided tour of the new part of the city of Fez, where we approach the royal palace and Jewish quarter (Mellah). Afterwards, we will go to a viewpoint where we can observe the whole medina from the south tower and different mosques.

After this, we will stroll through the medina (declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site) where we will walk through its labyrinthine streets structured by guilds of artisans. The hustle and bustle of its people will transport you back centuries. In addition, we will notice that it is a medieval city and that time has stopped in the clock ” the Magana Bounania” 1200 years after its construction. Overnight in Riad.

DAY 5: FEZ – IFRANE – CEDAR FOREST – MIDÉLT – ZIZ VALLEY – DESERT OF MERZOUGA

We head south to cross the Middle Atlas Mountains to reach Ifrane, also called the small Moroccan Switzerland for its resemblance to that country. One of the animals that once lived here was the Atlas lion, which has become the symbol of the city and has been dedicated a stone statue in the center of it.

We will cross the famous cedar forests where we can admire the Great Cedar Gouraud, the largest ancient cedar in the region and also feed the hundreds of Gibraltar monkeys that inhabit the area. Lunch in Midélt and from here the land becomes arid and full of spectacular geological formations and deep green valleys, such as the Ziz Valley.

We will start to see the typical adobe architecture, palm trees, some distant Kasbahs… we are at the gates of the desert! An hour after Erfoud we arrive at the impressive dunes of Merzouga where, upon arrival, we will take the hospitality tea and leave the suitcases in the rooms to climb the first dunes that are next to the hotel. DAY 6: MERZOUGA – NOMADIC FAMILIES – CAMEL RIDING AND NIGHT IN TENTS

Today will be a day of total desert. After a hearty and rich breakfast, we will surround the Erg Chebbi, an extension of sandy desert where the Great Dune of Morocco is located, over 250 meters high, and we will connect by track with part of the route followed by the old Paris-Dakar and with the mountains bordering Algeria in the background.

Stop at the oasis of Tissardmin where we can find fossils race that are still found in this region and continue on route to a nomadic settlement where we will learn some of the secrets of their life and customs. Later, we will stop at a panoramic point where we can contemplate the Erg Chebbi as a whole. We will arrive at the village of Khamlia, originally from Mali, where we will relax with a cup of tea while enjoying a small concert of spiritual music of Gnawa.

We will return to the hotel to begin our night in the tents. It will start with a ride on the back of a dromedary making a mandatory stop to contemplate an unforgettable sunset. We will arrive with the camels to the camp where we will stay in tents and enjoy a delicious dinner in the heart of the desert.

DAY 7: MERZOUGA DESERT – RISSANI MARKET – TODRA GORGES – DADES VALLEY

We start the day with a date with the sunrise. Since you are in the desert is advisable to get up early to walk to the highest dune that is around to enjoy the sunrise and this relaxing landscape that nature offers us. After a delicious breakfast, we say goodbye to the desert and leave for Rissani where we will visit the market (market days: Tuesday, Thursday or Sunday).We will follow the road to Erfoud where there is the possibility to visit the fossilized marble factory before continuing to the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad. 1 hour later we will arrive at one of the most impressive points of the High Atlas: The Todra Gorges.

The Todra riverbed has formed a gorge of vertical walls of enormous proportions and great beauty; it is a climber’s paradise and a unique place. We will have lunch at the site and have time to walk, see and enjoy in detail the Gorges. In the afternoon we will continue to the Dadès Valley, also known as the Valley of figs, passing through Boumalne Dadès where we will stop at the “monkey’s paws”. Overnight in Dades.

DAY 8: DADES VALLEY – VALLEY OF ROSES – SKOURA PALM GROVE – HIGH ATLAS – MARRAKESH

After breakfast, we will enjoy one of the best views of the Dades Valley from one of the most strategic places offered by the mountains. We will be able to observe the number of kasbah and the picturesque of each one of them, then we will leave towards a road dotted with several Kasbah of great interest.

After several stops to enjoy the route of the Thousand Kasbah, the Valley of the Roses and the great palm grove of Skoura, we will arrive in Ouarzazate and visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, former residence of the Glaoui or Pasha of Marrakech, as well as the Film Studios and Film Museum if you are interested. Lunch in the village and in the afternoon we will leave again to Marrakech crossing the mountain pass of Tizi Ntichka.

Here we will leave behind the lunar landscape that will give way to the predominant colors of green, ocher … etc.. Arrival in Marrakech around 18h approximately where our guide will transfer you to the hotel.

DAY 9: THE GRAND TOUR OF MARRAKECH

We have a full day to have the first contact with the red city, we will start our visit of Marrakech with our local guide in the medina around 09:00 after a rich breakfast in our Riad. We will visit all the interesting points of the city and in the afternoon, you will be free to enjoy the atmosphere in the famous Jamaa la Fna square. Overnight in Riad.

DAY 10: TRANSFER TO MARRAKESH AIRPORT END OF TRIP
